Cinco De Mayo!!! This is probably the fastest and friendliest Mexican restaurants have every been to. AAA++ service, great family owned restaurant.
Only real down fall was the air conditioning in the facility wasn't working, it was a bit warm but didn't really bother me because the food was very tasteful. Ordered Carne Asada Fries and 1 Street taco, both had great tasteful flavor but Street taco was a little dry but still had great taste. I would come back and try other things in the menu 4/5 stars -

I have never had a worse restaurant experience. I have my go to Mexican restaurant, but I thought what the heck--I will try Sol De Mexico.
I ordered a meal for take out, got it home and enjoyed it for the most part. I ordered an enchilada and a tamale (I told them it doesn't matter-just make one of them chicken and the other beef).
Got home ate the BEEF enchilada then started on the tamale. Two bites in I realized this should be chicken.
Called the restaurant and the person who says he is the owner challenged me about my concern of an incorrect order. He said bring the food back.
After I drove the 15 minute drive he was loud and rude. He never let me (and I was calm) finish a sentence of my experience. He accused me me of trying to get something for free.
Another employee there apologized for his behavior.
The food wasn't bad- but the service from the owner was despicable. He yelled and accused me of trying to get free food all for a $2 enchilada. -

I've been lucky that it's never busy when I go to Sol De Mexico because service is always great and the food comes out quickly! I won't go into detail about the menu because it is your typical menu at a Mexican restaurant in the 757. The servers always made sure that our drinks and chips were refilled. Don't forget to ask about the white dip as they've gotten away with just bringing it the table with the chips and salsa.
I've tried their quesadilla with shrimp and vegetables, and it is phenomenal. I also love that they have carne asada fries similar to the west coast style (I haven't been able to find a place in Virginia that is almost as good as California). The food is decently priced and you definitely get more than what you pay for. -

Just left. Probably the worst experience I've had with Mexican food. Everything was over cooked. Worst Mexican restaurant in Virginia Beach , I cannot believe I even paid my bill. Unfortunately I had to give you one star because it won't let me give you anything less.

It was not very good. At. All. Chicken enchiladas were bland, fajitas were way over cooked. Just overall not very tasteful on all food ordered. Everything was not very good. (The bathroom was horrible!! They served piping out of the fryer hot kids chicken nuggets and French fries to my 2 year old, which I luckily snatched up before she could burn herself badly, which on top of the food just made it an overall bad experience). Usually don't leave reviews, but felt like people should know because we were so disappointed for our Mexican food night...
